It Can Happen to You!

My mother always told me moisture is important for keeping my skin looking young. But when it comes to photographs, moisture is not a good thing!

It’s especially troublesome in a place like Houston, but unless you live in a sterile environment with constant room temperature, there’s a good chance your framed photos will adhere to the glass used to protect them. The good news is with today’s technology and graphic skills, we can “restore” a glass-covered photo to near original condition. So, don’t throw them out if you think there’s no hope.

Meanwhile, placing a mat on a photo gives you a little breathing room between your glass and the image, or if no matting is possible, print your photos on matte paper. Glossy prints looks bright, shiny and pop visually, but it’s the “shine” that’s a recipe for disaster when it comes to placing photos next to glass in any environment.
